M1 -> ear fatigue?
I've been closely monitoring
this thread. I'm about to make a purchase and I'm going batty with all the conflicting opinions about the Alesis M1 Active (I'm NOT talking about the MkII here.) I've seen a couple posts saying that Alesis M1 causes ear fatigue and has a mid-range bust.
I've got a good deal in the works on a pair of Alesis M1 Actives and I don't what to do. Are they accurate? Does everyone who uses them experience the ear fatigue or the mid range bust that ends up killing the mids in the final mix???
For $50 more, I could get an Alesis RA 100 amp and a pair of Yorkville YSM1i's. Or, for almost $100 more I could get that amp and a pair of Event 20/20's.
I'm not sure how these compare; I'm in Russia, so I can't walk down to the local Sam Ash to compare.
Any suggestions? Cautions?
I have to move quickly if I'm going to get these things. Please help!
Thanks in advance.
