SphinctorWhite- Why would you get pissed off and start insulting people just because you dont see comments on the mics you want to hear about?

Just ask.

Welllll..............

I figure everyone has a right to their opinion and if yours is that these mics suck or that pre blows....cool.

But what I don't get is coming over to a forum and shooting off one's mouth at the natives. If a person doesnt like this forum, this person should move on. I have no probs with what was said, rather HOW it was said.

Now act like your Mother raised ya:mad:

I doubt that he has the balls to show his face here at this point.

Did I just hear Crawdad say "balls"?

Dad, you're not supposed to swear! :)

Yeah! We don't need outsiders to come in and insult us, we already have members that do that job. :D

I don't recomend either of those mics. I feel they're toys, but that's just MY humble opinion. But the fact remains, this is a HOME recording site. But Dude, you should really pick up a matched pair of ELAM-251's. They just RULE on my Applause acoustic.

Hey Rat,

I'm gonna spank you. You tell the dude that the MXL's and SP mics are toys. Then you mention that you have an Applause guitar for fart sakes. Now he is never gonna listen to you. :p

----

By the way, spectrewhite, you made mention that all of us like the same things. If you have read the majority of posts here, you will see that a couple of the mics by MXL and SP are well liked in many instances for very different reasons. Additionally, having never heard any of the MXL mics in person, how can you attempt to muster judgment.

Keep in mind that when you pass judgment of so many educated musicians and engineers after only a short glance, and raise your level of intensity to 10+ in the first of your few posts, you will soon find that you will have nothing left to offer or gain from being around here. While your opinion is valid, your tone shows me that you are a very impatient individual who uses his boisterous presence to obtain recognition in an attempt to make up for you lack of patience. You are the heavy that walks into the Coffee shop and yells at the new youngster working the counter when she makes your non-fat latte wrong in an attempt to elevate yourself, hoping to satisfy some inner inadequacy. This inadequacy does not go un-noticed. Your indifference becomes you.

Now that said, don’t be a wanker and maybe you will learn something. Hopefully we can learn something from you as well. Remember, shallow brooks make loud noises and still waters run deep.

Cheers,

Fangar

Fangar,
LOL! I was thinking the same thing to myself, but I wasn't going to go there. Still LOL!

I wonder if its better to use an SM57 or a LD condenser to mic up a Pianosaurus.

All this talk and no one has even mentioned the best mic of them all - the Behringer B2. What's the matter with you people?

Sorry, couldn't resist. Actually just signed up and wanted to see if I could post. Please forgive me. : )

I really do like my B2 though.......

Welcome Steven!

Hi Steven. You and your Behringer are welcome here.Pull up a stand and make yourself at home!!:D

Bowisc, it was definately a joke.:D Just being my smartass self. The closest thing I have to an Applause is a '55 Martin.

Maybe we should direct him to the best "mic a fart" thread. Or all of them for that matter.

Thanks Randy! I'm glad my B2 didn't gross you out.

I had an Applause once. Toughest little guitar I have owned. Indestructible! I carried that thing through the Abyss for many years. I think it is still somewhere in playable condition after about 30 years.

My '56 Martin can beat up your '55 Martin :)
Seriously - which Martin do you have? I have an 00-18 I inherited from my late Great Uncle. It's a bit beat up but sounds soooo sweet when fingerpicked.

I have a '55 000-18 and a '74 D-41. My dad has '69 D-35 that sounds glorious.
