What do you think of this Epiphone Sheraton?

Ive been thinking about getting a new guitar in a few months time but i noticed this one on ebay (link provided below).
It's certainly fairly cheap for what it is. I knew a guy that has an Epiphone Sheraton and the sound out of it wasnt great but I'm guessing the new pickups that have been put in it should help. I know its a factory made guitar and I'm not expecting too much Im looking for a guitar that worked well as a rythm guitar, nice clean sound and nice light distortion sound. ATM ive got a Maton mastersound which works quite well on heavy distortion but not much else.
So what do you guys think?
Am i likely to find a better deal for what i need. (It's not like im a pro or am even likely to use it for live stuff but I'd still like sometihng with a nice tone).
Has anyone here got a newish Sheraton or Dimarzio pickups? What sort of sound qualiy do you think i'll get?

(note prices are in australian dollars and a new right handed Sheraton is about $1500-$1600)

I tried one in Perth a while back, I was not sold on it but having said that with a good set up it would have been OK for the money.

Bloody computer, I'll finish what I lost somewhere- I would replace the pickups with Bill Lawrence p/u's they are really amazing, and only get the genuine ones from billlawrence.com
