wee chillout tune

Hey...sounds great man. From a technical standpoint it seems like it's all there - great sound.

This one doesn't go as many places as I'm used to or what I might prefer, but what you have sounds nice. Is wee chillout a sub, sub genre?

The organ sounds sick. I'd ask you how you captured that sound, but am sure the explanation would involve numerous acroynms and devices I am completely unaware of. Seriously, you could tell me you "set up a sample trigger on the XJ9 and interfaced with the saturn octospasmatron and uploaded it to my midi controllerizer" and I'd be like, "oh, cool."

Anyway, another fine production sir.

haha no just loaded a patch on the JV and put it through a tube saturator, barely even got a touch of EQ and verb :)

thanks for listening man...yeah chillout's a sub-genre when people making dance records fuck up and make them too slow so cant be arsed fixing them and just play the same loop over an' over :D

hows things with you Pete, youve been a bit quiet...something on the horizon? ;)

You can say that again!....and I've got papers to prove it!!!:laughings::eek:

Well I play in 3 of 'em,..I play Drums,... samples and synths (triggered from pedals)..in 2 of 'em,..and just drums in one of 'em. (Metal, and Old Style Punk)..with tinctures of electronics, in the Metal bands.

I couldn't play a keyboard (chords) to save my life!,...even though I own a few.
I'm more tailored to beat on shit, than playin' chords on keys.
I know just enough on the keys to get my point across.
But,...I do go out and play some improv. gigs by myself with a pretty crazy setup. I bring my electronic drum kit, along with several synths and samplers, and I switch between 'em. I've had some pretty good reactions so far.
Gettin' ready to do a "one man band" show on Halloween..openin' for a couple local industrial metal bands.
But yes,..I will send you some stuff you can master for me,..if you'd like.
I'll let you know soon as I'm ready to upload it into the computer.
Problem being,..whenever I actually get any time away from the other bands,
I usually work on my electronic stuff,..but never get the time to actually put the finishing touches on any of it.
I did come across a tape that I am quite happy with,..and will be definitely spending some time on it one way or another this weekend. So, I'll be knockin' on your door soon!

you're a busy musical man dude :)

yeah chuck a mix my way and ill see if theres any polish needed..Im not brilliant at "mastering", well more finalizing, but i can get rid of any speaker tearing nastiness :D

Yeah it's only the first part that cries out for hip hop rap....don't forget to say "yo", "bitch" and "hood" if you do 'em, OK.....:p
But the rest is great ambient chillout stuff with that dark feel that I like (I've booked a place in Hell already....:D) That organ sounds majestic and those bass frequencies are gracing my sub. Another fine work, my tartan friend.:)

PS: I'm working on a thing called Monsters right now.....,;)

Ha! All is well. I've been listening here each day and commenting every few. In a bit of a rut myself lately. I am working on a fantastic cover of "yo yo bitch" at the moment though.

I did comment but it seems to have evaporated along with the milk.
I'll sweeten the condensation:
Good, dark, needs an evil spot!

Mix sounds good on headphones. Nice tune, quite trippy. Could use more guitars though :D I tend to agree with Ray, an evilspot would be good. Then again that could snap the chill mood which is probably not what you're after

thanks man...yeah i agree with guitars...trippy kinda dub chords wouldve worked, but its just a freebie flexy disc on the front of an electro cereal box for teens, cant really do anything else with it..except write a really happy kinda funky house tune afterwards..which i have...lol

:D

Hey KC I really like that organ sound! what plug-in is it?
Going into a trans mode direction now? It's kinda cool.
Haven't got to listen to the song you posted before this one, but I'll find time to critically listen later .... I can't wait.:)

Hey Henry...you still "on the road"? :)

the organ patch is off my "keyboards of the 60s & 70s" card on my JV...just a rock B3 through a tube saturator

does sound quite realistic doest it? would sound nice in a take on a Deep Purple kinda track I think

yeah i think you missed one...another dance tune...got a few in the pipeline including at least one awesome collab...you guys will be fucking bored of me if you arent already lol :)

Yup of the road for now but I'm now in fall festival mode and college shows.

Just did the Keene Pumpkin Fest! 4 stages 12 acts each and I had to book them all. Plus a 27 speaker foot print PA. 70,000 people in all. It's New England's premier festival ~ google it up and take a look.
This weekend We are doing *we the kings* and *J Cole* at Keene State college. It never ends.

That organ did remind me a lot of Deep Purple. The tube sat. gives it a great bite to the sound.
Just keep them coming. :D Not bored yet.

it sounds good and made me tap my foot

i think it needs a little more oomph in the sub bass

thanks groovy...probably does, the sub is the bit i find hardest to translate...not because of my monitoring set up but because of how it sounds on other systems...

maybe i should improve my other systems lol :)

I'm liking it. You should have heatmiser rap over this one. :laughings:

It's got a cool dark hip hop underground ambient cupcake synth cannabis loser mecha talk shopping cart floor wax clam cobbler essay giraffe door mat kind of feel, ya know? :p
But really, it is good.
