We need to be able to edit posts in the MP3 clinic

Unpossible!
The whole point of teh MP3 clinic is to get help with mixes. You post a mix, get some comments/critiques, then post a new mix, and the process repeats. Once you have two mixes posted, you never know if the respondents are listening to the original mix, or the subsequent mixes. I cannot see ANY reason to limit this feature in the clinic. Can we please get that changed ASAP?

Thank you.

So true - I listened to three different links assuming each was the current mix. It would be better if you could edit the original post to update the link.

BRILLIANT IDEA - save a lot of time reading through to find the correct mix let alone the time spent listening to a series of older ones that are no longer the topic of conversation.
So an edit facility OR a box at the top & bottom of the thread that contains the link & can be updated.

I'm not sure if I understand this request.

Wouldn't it be easier simply to start a new thread with the new mix in it?

That way the old thread with the original mix stays, plus its associated comments, while the new allows previous commentators to dwell on the difference.

I hope someone can explain how this editing thing would work.

I'm not sure how to make it any clearer.

Another point, I don't like to read replies before I listen to a mix - the human mind is funny, and if you a preconceived notion going in, often times you'll hear what you want to hear. I'll often do this, the post my reply, only to find out, many of the problems have been resolved in a subsequent mix.

Lastly, would harm does it do to allow editing? Every other site on the interwebz allows it. Dragon threw a fit and tried to punish EZ, and instead just made this forum a little worse.

Sad, this place used to be a great site......

goo idea,

i was always wondering whyI wasn't allowed to edit my posts.

Well, sigs are back - now can we get are editing capability back? Please?

I just posted an updated mix in my thread, but since it's soundclick, I don't have to edit the orginal thread to change the mix.

But you have to read almost halfway down the page to see that I have updated...

would be so much simpler to just edit the first post to read that I have updated.

I'm actually against an editing post function in the mp3 clinic. If you say an offering is horrific, you should have to stand by your words.

Your first instinct is usually the right one.
