Well, since I have alot of time on my hands I decided to do a cover of one of my heros.

I didn't put this one on Waldos site because it is a cover so just right click this one and save.

Good Hearted Woman

Sorry for the drum machine but is all I could come up with on this one. Oh and I screwed the bass up in a few spots. Oh and I don't really sound like Waylon. Oh and.....

Let me know what ya'll think. :D

sounds good.. nice vocals.. I have no suggestions or complaints really.. even the download was fast!

Excellent! :) I never used to like country music up until this year! LOL Good job!

Scott,

I never heard the original of this one but, I liked how you played and recorded it!

Pretty solid sound, all around.

Nice pickin' and a grinin'!

Maybe add a slide guitar and a few more backing vocals to complete the feel?

I enjoyed it!

Cheers! :)

the acoustics really captured the spirit of most country recordings like this........what did you do for those?.....the electric lets it roll too...........

very nice..............i've heard willie do this one and i've always liked it........

Holy Shit - lmao, that first line gave me the willies - "WAYLON, IS THAT YOU???"

I saw his son ("Sheeter") on Saturday. He hopped up on stage with Cross Canadian Ragweed and played bass while he "sang" (read as 'defiled') a Waylon classic. I kinda' wanted to boo a little, but then I thought about that poor son-of-a-bitch having to grow up with a name like "Sheeter Jennings," and I just couldn't.

Anyway, you always surprise me - I guess I need to stop being surprised. Oh, and Gidge wasn't kidding.

[edit] - Every since he died, my band has sorta' included "Amanda" in our show. Like every cover that we do, it started off as a totally unrehearsed, off the hip improv and has stayed that way.

I sing the high part - it gets a lot of laughs, so it's a staple now, lol. You should record that.

Hey Scott,
Coooooool man!
Wow, those are some GREAT vocs!!!!! Nice guit playing in this too. Waylon is one of a very small handful of country guys that i dig, and you totally did this justice.
gw/5

Damn fine vocs Scott!!!

Now thats some good shit kickin!

Nice rendition-- Better than most of the so called country singers out there today.

Wow, what great vocals and excellent picking.

Your voice has a bit of Waylon in it. Kind of a Waylon/Johnny Cash mix.

Damn this is good. You setting the bar too high for everone else.

Country music is dead. Hearing this reminded me of how it used to be.

YA NAILED IT!

That's a 100-percent excellent piece of work. I agree with every other wonderful thing everyone had to say here - no nit-picks, no add-ons, no opinions just really good music!! THANX!!

Thanks for all the good words!

On the question about the acoustic guitars. I used the Nashville Stringin/Tuning method on one of the acoustices and panned it left and left the normal acoustic to the right or was it the other way around? Anyway, I used the Nasville tuning to give it that twelve string effect.

This is a method I heard about on this BBS. Never know what you may learn along the way!

Thanks!

Sounds very professional to me.
Too bad you do country (just kidding).
I don't know the original but a slide guitar would be a nice add.
High quality stuff.
