Hmm....now that you say it, yeah, i did use 320, but i could have sworn this morning it said i could only go up to 128. I'm gonna try CDEx.

But yeah, there's a problem. The only way i can test the mp3 without myspace is REAlplayer, but my father has moved it somewhere so the shortcut doesn't work, and I can't seem to find it.

Are you not using Windows?

If you are just use Windows Media Player to test it...

alright, i've downloaded cdex. now does it have to be on cd to do it? Can I convert a file from my comp? Is Compressd Audio Files another name for mp3?

If you rip a song off a cd as an mp3, then later, on your computer, convert it to wav, will its quality improve? Or will it only ever be as good as that initial mp3 rip?

Once you convert to MP3, that information is lost forever. Converting back to wav will just make the file size bigger, you won't get any quality back.

First goto the options menu and change the MP3 settings. Make sure it is using the LAME encoding engine, set to "CBR", and then change the bitrate to whatever you want...128, 192, etc.

Then just drag the WAV file into the main window and click "Encode" when the window pops up.

An MP3 is a type of compressed audio file. It stands for MPEG 1 - layer 3.
Like Solo.Guitar said, can't you test playing back MP3s/WAVs on Windows Media Player?

ok, the mp3 problem is solved. now my problem is my internet connection is really crappy and it takes a long time to upload, and myspace times me out before it can upload. Don't suppose there a quick solution to this, other then the obvious, is there?

Um, if your internet is slow then your internet is slow.

Or it could just be MySpace being slow because there's somewhere around 900 billion people that use it.

For music I recommend www.SoundClick.com.
