VooDoo modded JMP-1 question

Has anyone here played thru a VooDoo modded JMP-1. I've been gassing for a new/better tone lately, but don't really want to dish out big bucks for another guitar preamp. I've read a lot of good reviews about this particular mod and it seems to be killer. I'm just wondering if the difference in performance/tone/sound quality etc would be that noticable to justify paying $295 for a mod.

I just had my Mesa Dual Rectifier modded by these guys. All I can say is holy shit. My guess is it's every bit worth it and then some. There are really cool dudes too. I took mine up and hung out while they did the work.
