i found what weezer mentioned in the gc flyer interesting, that its changing again and internet is here to stay and that maybe instant releases, maybe one song a week might be the future, versus the old school waiting 1yr or 2yr between full release with the big ad campaign workup.... are 99cent downloads the way? play live locally, sell some stuff locally , have a website....then its all luck.
a person has to get out there, obviously, to get attention. nobodys going to knock on your door. and then lady luck will come around or she wont.
there's plenty of time for a cubicle job to rot away in. (i know from experience)...better to try than regret it.
you never know. a job is there for everyone who needed that comfort. i know so many who went to college and worked and gave it all to their jobs and wound up laid off because of job outsourcing too....so there is no security in Cubicle Land either....
however, its never changed in that the industry is always looking for new tunes, the public demands new tunes new styles...
argument is.."How many top CD's this week are from last year? " none of course.
