Hello,
I have stumbled upon a problem regarding mixdown, I'll try to explain.
I have recorded a band practice session on one track of a program, the track lasts for 1 hour 45 mins. When I try to mix the track into seperate segments I run into a problem. For example, if the segment that I want to mix starts at 20 min, after I have mixed down I have 20 min of silence followed by the segment that I wanted mixed. If I want to mix a segment located 45 min in, then I get 45 min of silence followed by the segment. I hope I'm explaining clearly.
I really don't understand waht I'm doing wrong and have tried to find a solution in the manual but am no closer to solving the matter.
Please could somebody explain to me the problem/solution. I've had my VF160ex for a few years and am baffled.

Thanks and appreciation in advance.

You're not doing anything wrong. That's a feature of Internal Mixdown. Rest assured, when you go to burn the mixdown to CD the leading silence will "disappear."

Aha, thank you so much Paj!
I had mixed down a lengthy track into segments before but I suppose I didn't listen until CD stage. You know what the manual is like, very frustrating.

Thanks once again, my sanity is safe (at least for another day....)

:D

You are going to want to make sure you use the clipboard when you burn to CD however, otherwise you could end up with your 20 min of silence.

msr:)
