New kid on the block, again.
If I have missed this in previous post, shame on me.
On the VF-160 can I, for example......take stereo guitar tracks, say Tracks 1 & 2, adjust EQ, exchange those 2 tracks to 13 & 14, or, 15 & 16 (the only channels that will allow compression) then apply compression, return those two tracks back to 1 & 2 and be able to include those 2 tracks (possibly along with others using the same process) in the final mix, with the compression and EQ intact? Whew.........I'm out of breath.
I realize that compression can be used on the master channel as well, but I am more concerned with individual tracks.
I haven't had time to try this yet and if those in the know would kindly help out, it would be greatly appreciated.
Most of my recordings (usually, just me) are so carefully monitored during recording that I very seldom ever use compression. Thanks,
FX

You can do that but you have to use Buss record as opposed to just exchanging the tracks. If you exchange them, your EQ and effects settings stay attached to the original track number. You have to record them in real time to tracks 13-14 or 15-16.

Thanks the letterq,

Yeah, I've had this unit for several months and finally over the weekend, had a chance to really sit down and learn it. It is easier to use and capable of more than the manual???? would lead one to believe.
Cheers,
