I have a Vestafire MR-1 that's been in the loft for years and want to pass it on to a friend.
Fired it up and it plays something I recorded years ago fine on all four channels (tho one pot is a bit scratchy)
When it comes to recording, channels 1 and 3 are fine but 2 and 4 are completely dead.
If I use the track select buttons channels 1 and 3 drive all channels fine but 2 and 4 still no-go
This seems to suggest the problem is in the input boards of channels 2 and 4
Have squirted contact cleaner into the jack sockets and pots but no change.
Before I delve deeper, are their any known failure points on these boards that might shorten the search?
I appreciate this is an old bit of kit, but hopefully someone here has a good memory
