Bring Back Transfat!
Looking to add some more flavors to the pres on a C-Port and a TubeMP.

Any thoughts as to the significance between these two units? They both seem to have the same eq and compressor circuits, which brings up another question. In a computer based recording system where one track at a time is being recorded, should the compressor either of these units have be sufficient?

is the MQ3 out yet?...i think thats the replacement of the VC3Q (i just bought 2, want 1?)....

anyway, the vc6Q had more control over the compressot than the vc3q so it may be same with the mq3....

as far as the compressor being adequate, i think it is.....

What's your price pilgrim?

Would you have any use for a Dukes of Hazard lunchbox? Just checkin'.

i was just joking about selling it:D

the meek sound is something you want to audition yourself...ive posted that its a love/hate one thats hard to describe...you either love it or hate it......

if i could trust UPS, id send you one to play with......

The VC3Q and VC6Q are really the same electronics. The VC6Q has more control over the compressor, and mid band sweep eq. It has an added instrument pre on the 1/4" jack on the front panel, and way more features.

If the deal is good on the VC6Q...take it. The added control is worth the bucks.

im a BIG cheapskate...i couldnt pass up a VC3Q for $99.......i dont need more control....more controls = more options = more decisions and thats a bad thing sometimes.....

Sometimes more is less, or is that, "more or less", either way, less or more, you get more with a VC6Q, and less with a VC3Q, but it really doesn't matter...more or less :D

You're not a cheapskate Gidge...just a smart shopper ;)

ok ill agree with "smart shopper" cause i refuse to buy CRAP anymore....i wait til i can afford decent gear.....picked up a Delta DMP2 for $79 and then the VC3Q's for $99 - my two best bargains.......

I saw Ed roasting the meek in that other thread but I'm gonna have to try it.

When Mars closed them out they reduced them to 79.99 .....even after every Mars in the country was just about sold out Audiomidi.com matched the price for me.....

How long ago did you do that? Wonder if they'd fall for it again...

Well dadgum it, I just missed out on that one! Now I'm looking at the Audio Buddy.... Oh well.

Thanks for the info Gidge.

Alan, just curious-when do you think your VTP-1 will hit the streets?

If the dam LEDs would get off back order...90 days, although I have been saying that for some time now. This project has been a wake up call at best, but a very expensive learning curve. This will not happen on our next project, I can promise you that.

Alan, look in your Christmas decorations..Use those dam lights!:D ..LOL
