Using Arturia Keylab Essential 61 to record into Ableton Live clips

I have noticed that I cannot record (with the integrated rec. button from Arturia) in Ableton when I am in Session View.
I dont know how to use the Arturia Keylab Essential 61 to record into Ableton Live Midi Clips. It doesnt record when I hit the rec button.
The Record Button works to record in the Arrangement View Selector, but not when using Session View Selector.
Any suggestions?
