i bought a single coil acoustic guitar pickup for my acoustic, and since its only single coil there is a ton of noise, i'm just wondering if anyone knows any good hardware of software to combat that, or if i should just try saving up from a humbucker..if single coils make so much noise like this why the hell would they be sold? maybe this one is just bad. its a fishman acoustic rare earth pickup. if anyone can help thatd be grand. later. michael.

You should be able to locate whatever is making your single pole light up and either get away from it or minimize it. But, I have to agree, a mic is the way to go for acoustic. Pick ups are poopy.:D

Yet another vote for a good mic or 2. Pickups are great for stage, but properly placed mics pick up so much more than a pickup can.
