This site has a great list of MP3 converters, as well as links to some important sites (Fraunhofer's site, walk-throughs, etc.).

BTW, they speak highly of YAMP. Anyone here use it (it has low and high pass cutoffs, easy to tweak yer mp3s)...

Anyway, dig the site. May it clutter your "favorites" folder as much as mine...

Thanx, Kelly.... MAC2 and I are looking at encoders and this is a good place to start!

Thanks for that Kelly... I have had a bitch of a time trying to find an mp3 encoder that doesn't rip my cymbals to shreds at 128kbps... hopefully something here will do the trick!

Hey Kelly, thanks for the plug! I keep trying to make mp3-converter.com as useful to visitors as possible. If any of you guys have suggestions for what to add to the site to make it better, I'd love to here from you at feedback@mp3-converter.com . I personally like Yamp for its high ripping speeds and ability to recheck the wav after it is finished to catch problems. The encoder is not the fastest, but seems to be about standard. If they had burning features than it would be really slick. Anyway, thanks again, and nice forum.

Jim
