I have a Toshiba laptop with a 1/8" stereo out that's failed. As a workaround I picked up a USB adapter for stereo in/out. Although I have not attempted to record with this yet, it is working for sound from websites and my transcription software. The problem is that when I attempted to use Adobe Audition it routed the sound to the speakers on my laptop and it's not going to the USB adapter. I've looked for fixes within Audition and not found anything. The default sound is set to USB audio device. Any suggestions are appreciated.
