does anybody know of a good performing pc i can by 2 run with reason and a tascam us 122 i have a avera tech laptop and it never configures right with my interface so anybodt know of a cpu under a 1000 dollas that good 4 audio and midi?

Maybe it's time to ditch the usb and get a firewire interface. They generally play a lot better with pretty much every chipset

Not with the tiny 4-pin firewire port found on almost every laptop.

If I had to ditch USB on a laptop I'd ditch it in favor of a PCMCIA cardbus like this --- LINK.
