URGENT HELP! (mixer thing)

hey guys i rescently needed a interface with phantom power and i ran into this....

I bidded for this at there store and it closes in a few days and if i win the bid i get the item...

BUT what i was wondering is...how do i hook that up to my computer ? :/

well, you don't. Thats a stand alone recorder and isn't made to connect to your computer. It may let you burn the recorded tracks individually to a cd so that you can put them on your computer, but thats VERY inconvenient. If you want to record to your computer, thats NOT the unit you want. Hope that helps...

That said, every recording I've ever done has been on a standalone recorder rather than a PC, so I'm a fan of them.

Just a different method, that's all.

If I had to do it again today I'd probably go specialist PC / control surface, but I'm not due to upgrade just yet...

That's up to you.

Connectng an interface to a PC would add flexability (more tracks, plugins, automation etc) but it's more expensive and can cause some serious headaches.

A stand alone unit is portable and avoids the hassles of a connecting to PC. Another advantage would be the physical faders, It's just not the same on a screen.

I should say that sometimes connecting to a PC is painless but if you read these forums there is a never ending supply of guys having problems.
