Hi everybody

im redcording this song that has an intro with fingerpicked like acustic guitar phrase right, then when the song starts
it goes to a rythm guitar i manage my way to get the intro sound like i want but when the rythim part comes in i just dont like how it sound
:( do i need to automatize eq? i have no idea what i need to do, should i record the rythim part in a different track?? also i
have PT 8 LE and use the eleven rack as my interface i recorded this guitars through line imputs since i have no mic`s for that, however
for the fingerpicked i use Waves Maserati AGD and it sound soo tight so can i still get a decent acustic guitar sound if i have no mics?
or my issue is that i need to get these mics no matter, help meee please

I'd do it on another track. Fingerpicking and strumming sound way different with the same micing. I like stereo x-y for fingers, and a mono omni for strumming in a mix.

Do you want it to sound like one guitar the whole way through, or is it ok if the intro sounds different from the rest? If you want it to sound like one, I'd recommend setting things up for the strummed guitar, and maybe sacrificing a little bit on the fingerpicked part.

If you're not using mics right now, you can get an good sound, I guess. But it's way more fun, and you have a lot more control if you get some decent mics and learn to use them right.
