Ugly Guitars

OK, couple more:

And this one, which I find awesome, but I know some will call ugly, it's definitely 'love it or hate it,' anyhow:

I have that Schecter in the Burgundy-ish color (Antique Amber is the official name), and it really doesn't look as offensive as the pics make it out to be.

The Zoot Suits though....I don't see how those could ever even come close to looking acceptable.
 
Regardless of whether you like the Zoot Suit bodys or not, all I see is a $100.00 PLYWOOD guitar w/ a Gibson name. (that must be worth 1100 % of the cost)
 
Don't know what the hell is up with the last one...

How the hell do you even play it?!

Yup, Pat Metheny's guitar, built by Linda Manzer (who is one of the best small shop builders out there, by the way). It's called the Pikasso. Linda tells me she was a bit confused when he first called about it.

I've always thought it brought out his worst New Age tendencies, personally. But hey, at least he is trying, right? Uh, sure. I like him enough most of the time that I'll excuse him for these things.

Wow cheers for the link man. I'm likin this thing, some killer sounds out of it :)
 
For some reason I was not surprised when I learned that it was Metheny. It could not be some regular guy.
