I am thinking about buying a TSR-8 and was liking some pros and cons of that particular machine.

The only cons would be that it is a 2 head deck and makes calibration a bit more tedious when needed. Beyond that, about all else would be the fact that Quantegy, the last open reel tape manufacturer is under bankruptcy protection and is not currently making any product. However, there is still excellent reserves of inventory at most retailers so it all should be fine once they restructure or find a new owner for the company.

Otherwise, the TSR-8 is a solid little machine, capable of amazing quality and results.
