Ok im been recording my music for a couple of years now. i have a lexicon omega that came whit cubase LE which I never liked. I always use sonar for my recordings and it works for me. I'm been using sonar since Sonar 6. Now some bands ask me if I could record their music to so I'm thinking upgrading my equipment to record at least 12 to 16 tracks at the same time. My pc is a quad core 64 12 gb of ram so i got plenty of power and I'll be using Sonar X1 because I don want to start from zero with a new DAW learning how to use it. What I need is a good audio interface compatible with sonar. It don't matter if is FireWire, USB, PCI or any other interface. I was thinking buying a Tascam us-1800 but I heard that have problems with the drivers. Any help will be useful just don't want to trow away my money experimenting buying stuff that might or might not work. I been doing a lot of research and found this page. Hopefully Ill found the help here.

I like the look of the Tascam 1800 - great value for 16 track recording. I use an Alesis Multimix 16 USB 2.0 - little more expensive but it has a mixer built in. Most interfaces should work with whatever DAW software you have (Cubase / Sonar / Reaper / etc.)

Thanks for the help. Sorry for the misspell homenaje is suppose to say homemade I hate iPad autocorrection

My Mum taught me to read, write and spell long before I started school. I salute her foresight endlessly. Spellcheck is pretty redundant in this household !
