Yeah, I gotta admit that the $350 was quite a shock when it happened, and I did bitch about that when it happened.. It was an attempt by R.N. to botique his name a bit, I think. But then the users told him to take the needle out of his arm, drop the pricing, and bring back the old colors . Just goes to show that just because a guy is a top-notch geek doesn't mean he's necessarily much of a market analyst .
Personally, I think it's well worth the $250. If it were still at $350, I would still recommend the EQ, but complain that it was a bit on the pricey side and guess that R.N. would sell more if he sobered up and sold it for $100 less .
Hands down, Roger Nichols Digital's Uniquelizer is the best combination of transparent, powerful, flexible, and lousy named out there, IMHO. 14-day free trail available. http://www.rogernicholsdigital.com/Uniquel-izer.htm
Wow, 250 each now? I'm glad I got ahold of those plugs a couple years ago when they were still Elemental Audio. I think I paid around 300 for all of them. Plus, they didn't have the stupid names.
I also like RND's Uniquequalizer. One of the most transparent in my opinion. PSP Neon also sounds great. PSP's MasterQ is a little less transparent, but still very good and one of my favorites.
