HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

That's cool, man. Listen to what you like. :p ;) :D

Here it is:

Beatles
U2
Counting Crows
Elvis Costello
Jars of Clay

1. Mott the Hoople/Ian Hunter (yes, that is #1!)
2. T. Rex
3. Slade (at least their early stuff)
4. Lynyrd Skynyrd (yes, I do like some American bands!)
5. Van Halen (definitely Roth era, but Hagar wasn't bad either.)
As most have said this could change on any given day, but MTH/Ian Hunter will always remain #1 for me. They had something but unfortunately it fell apart before it actually exploded into stardom stateside.

Mr C - I saw Slade at the Marquee in 1980. What a great, fun gig :) Noddy H said "we played here on the way up, now we're playing on the way down, we're just gonna have a party". And we did.

Wow, it's hard to narrow it down to five, but here's my list.

1. Pink Floyd
2. Radiohead
3. Nine Inch Nails
4. Sigur Ros
5. The Flaming Lips

At the moment:

1. Wilco
2. Neil Young
3. Sonic Youth
4. Interpol
5. Ryan Adams/Whiskeytown

Good call on Swervedriver whoever it was! Saw them live at Leicester University in 92 or 93 - really good band that suffered from NME/Melody Maker's caprices: one minute they're on the cover and the next time you check they apparently suck.

4) django reinhardt
5) primus

....as of today anyway.

1.The Carpenters

1. U2
