i got exactly what i expected, and due to a greta extent, to your review.
I record mostly acoustic and vocals with some keys.
the whole unit serves me well

don't wana speak for the man...but judging his attitudes towards the RNP...i would say he believes thats one of the sub $1000 units that sounds better then it....but u don't know untill u try it yourself....

I don't think you read my question correctly. I know Fletcher likes the RNP. What I wrote was "Hey Fletcher, I was just curious what roles you consider the RNP to be strongest at? I know it always depends, but any general observations?"
 
I have found the RNP to do very nicely with a Royer SF-12 on drum overheads... with UM-930 on female vocals, and damn near thought I was about to have something that rivaled a sexual experience with a Coles 4038 on a fiddle.

It's a damn nice little box for 'airing things out'.
