Metal dude
I have never been one to really use alot of compression just a bit, ive allways used smaller ratios(like 2:1 &4:1) and not much gain reduction. But latelly ive been focusing on drums and have been using a little bit more.
Where can i find some samples of OVER compressed drums.
If anybodys got alink or some of their own samples that would be cool.

Thats kind of a loaded question. Over compressed usually means it sounds shitty. Not to be confused with heavily compressed but still sounds good.

If you want to hear heavily compressed drums get any Led Zepplin album. My favorite drum sound is on "Since I've Been Loving You" where it is so compressed you can hear every little kick pedal squeek but it still sounds killer.

If you want to here "overcompressed" listen to Tommy Bolin's Private Eyes.

Listen to almost any Steely Dan cd. Compressed and gated.
