So new to home recording and basically taking dummy steps to understand how it all works.
I used to play in metal bands and have experience with guitars, amps, effects etc. but the digital home recording is pretty unfamiliar territory to me. I set out to make some ambient metal sounding noise and acquired a Line6 hd300 modeler and a moogerfooger pedal. I have also gotten Logic on my mac now and next step would be to hook up my instrument/effect to computer. I was going to get the Apogee Duet but was wondering if this is my only option or best option... at this point Im trying to save a few bucks. Ive been looking at the Native Instruments Audio Kontrol 1 as a possible solution. What do you guys think? I believe I could use the Line6 as a audio interface maybe but I want to run a few more pedals after that and then into my computer so I definitely need something.
Any other recommendation to get the best sounds and create some wicked magic are also appreciated!!
Thanks!
