TIPS FOR AKG C3000B??!!!

Hi pals,
can you help me with this setup?
I have an akgc 3000 microphone, using it via Soundcraft Spiritfolio F1 mixer and recording vocals into my computer..
Can you tell me some tips for better sounding of AKG mic??
I used a BOSS compresooer/limiter insterted in the mixer but it was hell noisy..

I've had decent results with a C-3000. I'm curious as to how your signal chain is made up. Are you going from the stereo master output of the mixer to the soundcard or are using a channel direct out or even an insert send?
