Let's see if I can make this sensible... I recorded a piece of music, about 8 minutes long, on an analog reel to reel and onto cubase LE 4. Though I synchronized the DAW to the reel to reel with MTC, the analog recorded the piece slightly slower, so by the end it is about a full second or so behind the cubase recording.
So this a problem. But I was hoping I could use the Time Stretch to correct this situation, by selecting the cubase recording and stretching to be a second longer. I thought that since the analog recording was slower, but by a fixed amount, I could time stretch the cubase recording by this fixed proportion, thus correcting the time lag and matching up the two recordings. However, with Cubase LE 4, the time stretch by object selector appears to not follow this logic, and the Time Stretch function seems limited in LE, as it only allows me to select 13 seconds at a time. Plus its missing the higher quality algorithms.
So, sorry for the length, but my question is: will Cubase 4 or 5 allow me to do what I want here on the Time Stretch function? Or am I missing something and it can be done on Cubase LE 4. Or I'm screwed either way?
Thanks to anyone who can help me!
