About a year back now I went back to an old job that keeps me traveling. I haven't seen my home in about a year (wife travels with me and we both work the same job). So all I have had to do while traveling and working is dream about what I want to work on when I do make it home and pick up some small pieces of equipment while traveling to take back with me.
I've drawn the upstairs of my house to the best of my memory and included what I am pretty sure are the dimensions. I've tried to talk the wife into letting me knock down a wall or two but she isn't going for it. So with the space I have, how would you suggest setting up. This can include where to place bass traps and other room treatment. I started building those before I left, but didn't finish them up.
As far as what I have in the room that will need to be placed.
A desk to work at - ( I have a wooden desk but I'm considering a nice DIY desk just for the "studio" )
Roland TD-10 drums
couple guitars
2 computers (one mac one PC, will likely hook up to a switch and use the same keyboard/mouse/monitors for both computers)
monitors (which I don't have yet but will be purchasing when I move home)
If you feel up for it tell me where I should place the desk/monitors and acoustic panels. If you are really bored you can tell me which part of the room might be best for placing mics and singing too!
Oh and forgot to add. Ceilings are around 10ft I think and carpet on the floor.
