I a havent really written a song for a bit.. But theres two things that make me unable to sleep at night. One is that song writing bug, and the other is illistrated in this song I wrote months ago. I recorded it at a live show a few weeks ago.

It's kinda wordy and preachy. Politics is a minefield for a lyric writer. Even if the listener agrees with you, he/she has a very short attention span and it's very difficult to keep'em tracking with you. If you're gonna write "ain't it awful" songs, keep them short and find a phrase to repeat like an anthem or chorus. Listen to some Woodie Guthrie or Pete Seeger.

the song sounded good but the structure of it is so-so (imo) i dont know the story of this song, and why it was written, but rhyming words like "sky, eye, lie", its just too obvious dude... all im sayin is it could be done more cleverly..

then i listened to the song, and it flowed well... so i donno

definately very good though, that was just me being picky... im tired
