I was never one for a blonde neck. I've always gone with the brunette.

Yeah, maple would be sweet. Custom shop special order maybe? Gibson calls that color Pelham blue. What does Fender call it? For that matter what do they call that model?

It would look really nice with the same Ebony fb that I have on my Ripper, blacker than the paint. But, I don't think you can get that kind of Ebony anymore.

Kind of a girlie color. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

You can but it is expensive..

I do have a few blonde necks but they seem a bit slippery to me.
A brunette neck you can actually feel the string to the fret board as you dig in.

I can feel the difference, but its a small factor to me. Cosmetically, I like maple boards. I just don't own any.

That bass would look good on say Pino Presti, but Frank Bello might get laughed at if he showed up with that.

I only have one bass - a cheapo with a rosewood board. On guitars I have 'em all. I like ebony best, then maple and rosewood last but they're all good. Looks-wise maple is just sweet with almost any finish.

Alright then blonde is good but only after the finish has been worn off. ;)

I can't recall ever seeing a LP with a maple neck. That just seems......unnatural.

In all it's hideousness...
