Either pay low cost for a Chinaman building it in China, or pay 5x the cost for a Mexican building it in the USA.
You could get the Epiphone Les Paul for less than that...and it's probably of better quality.

This band I always record once had a choice between tracking with a gibson lp studio or the esp and we all liked the esp better. Not saying everyone will prefer it but it easily holds its own against epiphones.

I said that I HATE that everything is made in China, but they're perfectly fine guitars. I'd rather buy USA, but the choice just isn't there.
You took what I said wrong. Most stuff made in China is as good as the USA stuff...it just SUCKS that's it's made in China...that's all I said. GEEZ!!!

Hahaha, I think I'm slowly approaching that point myself.acidrock said:.....unfortunately I'm one guitar away from sleeping in the garage.
Not exactly.acidrock said:It's the Harley/Honda argument.

"austin" and "Memphis" and some others that you've heard of. Every one of them played great because the store's tech were so good at setting them up.
Unfortunately, I think that a good setup doesn't last a long time on a shitty guitar. The banana wood has too much moisture in it or something. You can have killer action one day and then cheese cutter in a month.
