For my situation, I've come up with a design that will save me tons of time, money and stress but I want to see if it would suffice before I decided firmly on it. It's very basic but I never thought of it before until last night at 4:00am when I was wishing for sleep! 
Anyways, my live room is only about 10 x 9. I was trying to figure out the best way to do my ceiling and I came up with this plan. This drawing is a cutaway view from the front of the studio. notice the to the left of the live room, I have another room (the iso booth). It about 3 feet from the outer shell of the garage. Since the "A" frame of the garage is higher from the end of the iso booth, I could put a framed wall about 9.5' tall. The other side would be 8.3'. Would it be okay to just basically have a sloped ceiling? It's basically a shed roof. Here's the pic:
