I think one of Tascam line's first portastudios was marketed under the TEAC name.

The one ol' Sid has has a broken motor, but I can fix it. I was wondering if anyone has used this? How does it sound? It was definitely top of the line when it came out: it's suggested retail was $1,100 or something. Besides the motor, the thing's in mint condition and would be a cool peice for a collection.

my 4 track reel to reel deck was a teac i dont use it anymore though
