And no, I am not msblaze! Check the good guys thread, I'm on there a few times.

OK, no prices yet, I am just kicking this around to see if there is any interest. I have a portable HD24 setup that I'm thinking about shrinking to 8 input rather than 16, and shedding some of the stuff I used to do gigs.

Potentially on the block will be:

- A&H MixWiz 16:2, with several mods: first 8 channels have Burr Brown OPA2134 opamps, as does the master section. All 16 channels were upgraded to Nichicon PW series caps, with poly film bypass. Power supply has upgraded caps and heatsinks on the power supply voltage regulators. All channel direct outs switched to prefader. Phantom power switch made easier to press :o. This is a tight board, I love it dearly, but I'm not seeing too much use in its future with me :(

- dbx 262 compressor

- Tascam CD-160 CD player

- Rane MX22 crossover

- mid atlantic 4u rack drawer

- sweet MV Enclosures rack case: 12u top, 12u front, 6u back, heavy duty casters

- I might sell two of my four Peavey 112M wedges--but before you read on, wait! These happen to have Eminence APT-80 horn tweeters and 12" Eminence Beta woofers! Also with stand mount flange. Not your average Peavey wedge! Two are the powered version, 112PM. I am not sure which two I would sell  powered vs. passive, or one of each

On the buy side, I will need a 6u case with front and rear rails . . .

Please PM me with interest, I need to look at the whole project before I commit to anybody though . . . sorry to be a wuss about it :o

I am definitely interested in whatever Peavey speakers you want to sell. I live in Durham, so you wouldn't have to ship. Let me know what your asking price is.

OK here are some prices. First off, I'm giving the dbx a reprieve, so it's off the block. Also I can't quite sell the crossover yet:

- Tascam CD160, $160 shipped

- 12u/12u rack case, $150, delivered within reason. It will be kinda expensive to ship :o

- my precious A&H, $800 shipped, although I wouldn't mind delivering it too :o I will throw in a patch panel I made, 1u with 16 Neutrik XLR connectors, for patching into the mic inputs if you can't access them in a rack install. That's about $100 worth of Neutrik connectors

- 4u rack drawer, $70 shipped

Here's a (bad) picture of it all, stuff you see that I haven't listed isn't for sale. Mostly this is to show off the case, let me know if you want a close-up picture of something:

I had someone ask about those, so you'll have second dibs. I'll let you know.

How long? I'd like finish your post.

pic of the rack drawer please :)
also....
do you paypal?

Paypal is good.

I can't take a decent picture of the drawer, it's all black. But it's this unit here:

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=262-514

Wedges are available again, $150 for passive, $250 for powered, plus shipping if we can't arrange to meet. Includes 25' 16ga speaker cable with 1/4" TS connectors. Powered wedge includes power cable. I have decided to sell either 2 powered, or 1 of each.

Also for sale, some mics:

a pair of SM81s with case, clip, windscreen, in great shape, $220 each, shipped, or $430 shipped for the pair.

Beta 58 wireless with clip, receiver, and rack shelf, $300

Just wondering how much of an inprovement you found after the mods. I have a mixwiz 16:2 and was wondering if it was something to look into. As yet the board hasn't held me back, but options are allways good.

Some time after I finished the mods, I visited Giganova who at the time had the same mixer, stock. The differences are subtle, but useful. The highs are noticeably crisper, and the lows are tighter on the modded channels, whether cap only or cap + BB. It was tougher to tell the difference between the cap and cap+BB channels as opposed to either vs. stock. Although you could say the stock channels sounded more "analog", so it's possible you might prefer that. I preferred the accuracy of the modded channels. With 16 channels bunched in groups of 4, it's easy to experiment, and mix & match.

Looking around the web I see that the v3 is referred to as the 16:2, to be clear I have the v2, not the newer v3.

Gotta ask. Are the speaker prices for each speaker? Also, where in NC are you?

Yes (about 50% of what new with the Eminence drivers cost, including delivery), and OBX

OK, I called my band mates to see if they are interested (it would be a band purchase). I'll get back to you as soon as I know for sure. But I am definitely interested.

OK wedges have a deal pending, no other bites on anything else yet though. C'mon guys, nobody wants SM81s? Or a killer A&H mixer? :( Or a kickass rack case?

The little stuff I'll send off to eBay this weekend if there is no interest, but I'd really like somebody cool to get the mixer :o

Mshilarious and I did a direct comparison between his moded Mixwiz and my stock Mixwiz (same model). Listening through headphones, there was a clear audible difference just as mshilarious described above (crisper highs, tigher lows). I've also seen his moded Mixwiz inside and I have to tell ya, he did a heck of a great job!

Grab his mixer while you can! (if I need a mixer I would have snatched it in a heartbeat)

Sad we both didn't keep ours eh? Great mixers, though.

Yes, its too sad. I sold all my gear since I didn't have enough time for producing anymore (despite record contract!!), and bought a $5k tenor saxophone instead. Being a gear addict, though, I just bought a Rode NT2-A and a USB interface and I am starting to record my own saxophone solos. Can't live without music :D

When can I finish your stupid post???!!!

You're not allowed :p

Also, if you want to sound like Carlos, you gotta build that tube pedal with those parts I sent you :p That stuff in my store, it's spare parts from my tube pedal projects. I'm planning on selling it as a kit, but I've been badly sidetrack by several other projects . . . so it isn't ready for prime time yet :( Eventually, I'm going to have a bunch of different stuff in the store . . . panel-size bits of Guilford fabric, cheap little microphones, and lately I've been playing with cheap analog summing boxes--phantom powered! :D

Basically a lot of cheap but hopefully useful stuff . . .
