lol you ripped off the robocop theme in the guitar lead in the beginning ;)

singing is pretty good!

the mix seems, boring to me somehow... the guitars seem dull, maybe it was the encoding? It just doesnt seem "alive" or "big" enough for such a powerfully written song.

the inclusion of harmony vocals was a must. glad you did it.

That's it! I'm outta here! Gonna pack my things and go. LOL. :D:D:D:D Holly shit, bro! The vocals sound freaking awesome! Nice work. Great guitars. Sounds very crunchy and in your face. Really good. I wish you could have a real drum here. You could kill here in PR since there's a huge metal scene here.

No way, Alex, you're a great musician and we'd miss your music if you did that!:D
Yeah, the drums, my curse.....

Gracias Hermano! :):):):)

Thanx Jason!
Never watched Robocop, so I don't know....:o Do you think I should play with the frequencies on the guitars some more? I tried a lot with them, but maybe not enough...
I love to do harmonies on all of my songs.
Appreciate your comments! :):)

what are you using for your amp tone?

i assume you double tracked, no?

VOX AD30 miced with an SM57 aimed between dust-cap and cone, off-axis about 20°, roughly 2" from grill. 3 different guitars, 2 L and 2 R panned 75 and 100 on both sides. 4 different amp settings. Single tracks routed to a bus and EQ'd there. Short while ago I was using a multiband on the bus, but this song seemed to work better without it.

Hehe. Yes awesome song and great metal guitar sound. Sorry was listening to the track and then read the post about the Robocop theme - and yes it is, but I love Robocop!

I don't mind being inspired but it's pure coincidence, like I said....:)
who plays it on the soundtrack?
Thanx for the comments and for listening in! ;)

What a way cool song, Joey. I just love the double lead in harmony. The recording wasn't as hot as the last thing I listened to, so I had to turn it up a bit.

This is a really nice tight sound you've got going. Your vocals remind me of David Loin Cloth from VH.

I haven't heard the original version, but this one definitely rocks.

Oh, BTW I haven't a clue what the "zero chain" is but I don't care. I enjoyed the song anyway.

Wig:)

Hey Wig!
The Zero Chain is a chain of zeros...:D
The zeros are the people that the system opresses. Some break free but most don't, even though they dream of breaking free. All those zeros forming a chain for the system. At the time I wrote the song, I was reading the book Momo to my son at bedtime and was very inspired by it. My buddy Herman and I wrote it together. Regarding the volume I was afraid it might start to fall apart if I pushed it any further with my limiter.
He, he, First time i've heard DLR called that way... fits him like a glove!
Thanx for your great comments! :):):):)

Everything sounds great on this mix, the vocals sound like Dio to me & the guitar harmonies are amazing stuff. Drums and bass are so tight!
I wish I could get a mix like this happening...:o

Tony,
after all I learned from the great people on this site, I feel like it's starting to pay off. I take a lot more time to try to record everything right at source than I did before. I also edit a lot, so don't worry...;) Last 4 years have been a learning process and I spend most of my free time hooked up in front of the computer because in the end it's the song that's important and whatever you do for the song is right if the end-result is good. I don't feel I'm completely there yet, but I don't think I ever will be, anyway...:)
Thanx for your great comments!:):):):)

if it were my song i would either try a different mic (condensor LDC) or an ampsim. either would sound much better to my ears. This sounds dead (to me)

Wish I could understand what you mean by dead....
you seem to be the only one who thinks so

Great rockin' tune with really cool guitars and vocals! Another great song! Sounds very commercial.

Buddy you need to have your hearing checked.

Been meaning to get back to this. New mix sounds great. Drums sound much better and punchier.

Thanx Greg! :):D
...I don't think the mix is perfect, but I kept thinking I was doing something wrong :D

Hi, Joey !

Very good song and great job on the guitars (as usual).

Mix is ok - If I could "put my hands" I´d go with a bass guitar with more "meat"-around 180hz- and maybe something in the low mids/mids).

Excellent vocal! (more "Coverdale than Dio" IMO):D

Ciro

Everytime I listen to original songs like yours, it makes me think if I should be recording anything at all:eek:

Enjoyed it all, and yes, sounds like DIO:D

I can't offer any meaningful comment about sound, since I don't consider myself qualified.

Great song!

Hey Ciro, how are you doing, buddy! :)
Coverdale and DIO are both idols of mine, so I definitely love the comparison. Before I attempt anything else with the song I'll be letting it lie for a bit. Need fresh ears!

Thanx for your comments! :):):):)
