Hummm..Homerec..I'm a pro and you are not,I don't get it!I get paid to record people in a stand alone bld. and not in a house, so I guess I'm a pro ;) There are pros and there are pros!To put this in prosective..Massenberg is a pro I'm a hack! plane and simple!There are guys that I have heard on this board {home recorders}who do very nice work with their limitions!Cloneboy I can safely say you and I are hacks,we get paid to row a boat but we ain't no Captains of Luxuary liners either!Good luck to you :)

i listened to the seifert's bubblegum thing and i like it!

sure enough its at 320 kbps but its only 1:18 so its not a huge file (as you all know i am on dialup)

its a fast-paced instrumental that would be good for tv

maybe a kiddie show - wb kids

I don't care how Seifer did the drums, the guitar tones wipe the floor with Cloneboy's. Obviously it's not much to go on, but this was a mix-off, yeah? Not a 'who's the most pro' fight?

Dude, it was a lot harder than people are making it out to be to mix those drums. Making the drums that perfect shouldn't be a fault, it should be a victory. Although I'm starting to rethink the "perfect" editing technique after this, I still like how I processed them with eq and comps.

it makes me want to upgrade my computer so i can get virtual guitarist

if i wanted to do something like this the drums and bass would be sequenced and i would use virtual guitarist

the guitar parts sound too consistent to be a real player. am i wrong about this?

virtual guitarist could do the rhythm part but what would do the melody part?

the impression i get is that its all canned but i could be wrong

in any case i like it!

dude, DUDE.

first the drums are fake, and now the guitars are fake too? hasn't anybody ever heard of revolutionary techniques such as "playing in time" and "playing the right notes?" how about "not messing up?"

I've heard quite a few mixes around here, so I already know the answer (no)
