It seems that this song is done. Thanks to all who commented - some brilliant suggestions and some essential meat & potatoes ones as well.

The Solo guitar was played & recorded by none other than the clinic's own Ido1957 - thanks Gerry, an excellent little stinger that really fitted in & lifted the song.
The drums were played, recorded and mixed by RAMI.
If you ever need an example of what really superb playing on REAL drums can do for a song this is the one. RAMI, your playing and mixing fitted the song like a, a drum skin! Tight, taunt and terrific.
Thanks to all who helped along the way.
This clinic really does what it was designed to do oh so well.

Thanks for the opportunity to collaborate Ray. It was a lot of fun... I enjoyed the challenge of designing a lead break and I'm glad it fit the bill. Rami's drumming was top notch as always. The mix came out really well too. :D

Sounds really cool. The playing and singing and mixing. The real drums make a great difference. The solo had a Mark Knopfler sounds to it in certain places. :)

From the promises never made comes the crisis of returning.

What a great lyric.

Sorry about the other thread folks - I have NO ide where/when or how.
RAMI,
clever lad that you are - didn't see yourself in the mirror! Did I say thanks?
Greg,
Thanks mate! His style is distinctive BUT then again he played to suit my track rather than in his usual mould. It's sooo nice to have occasional access to a drummer.
Dogman,
Ta! It was amazing how easy it was to drop Gerry & RAMI's prerecorded & mixed work into an existing piece - those fellows know their eggs.
Bigbubba,
Thankee sai! Yup they done good, played hard and came up with a winner in my book!
Supercreep,
Mate, you know what I think of your lyrics so I'll take a bow & file the compliment away for times less joyous.

It's great to see someone touting TSHBand.
Thanks for your kind words mate.
Cheers
ray
