the princeton reverb reissue

Hi All: I got one yesterday and love it. I was raised back when the orginal ones could have been had for what a couple harps cost today and have to say the reissue is winner. I have been using a deluxe reverb but it is just too loud and heavy for me. As I get older, I seem to be getting quiter and smaller in amp size :-) I went to GC and wanted to buy one. In typical GC character, they had none in stock, and wanted to sell me the floor model. They couldn't find the case for it and I said forget it and ordered one while there. When I got home there was an email saying it was on backorder till late sept. I canceled the order and called Sweetwater Music. They had one and it was at my door the next day for The same price as GC only no tax added on. I was as impressed with sweetwater as I am with this amp.

It has a big tone, just like the original. I can't wait to start recording with it tonight. I am doing a various artists x-mas song for a cure for cancer cd this week and I think this amp is going to shine. Walter

I have always loved the princeton amps. I was hoping they would reissue it. The old ones just tend to break down to often for me. THe wires are old, etc, and they crap out alot when you gig them a lot. Here is a song with it - Santa found his groove. It is at the bottom of the page with the christmas songs. I am doing a song for a christmas cd-a christmas cure for cancer. I am letting people pick which song I should submitt. I used the tremelo on this one with some plate reverb. The volume was set to 1.5, treble 6, bass 5, speed 5, intensity 10. the guitar is a bone stock MIK tokai copy of 335 on the bridge PU. Walter

HI All: I recorded a couple songs tonight with the princeton reverb reissue I got the other day. the amp was set to- volume 2, treble 5.5, bass 3.5, reverb 3. I ran it through a thd hotplate to keep the volume down for recording. The guitar is a bone stock MIK Tokai copy of a 335. It is on the treble pickup and volume and tone knobs wide open. I dig this amp! Walter
