This is a Mackie 1402 VLZ Pro vs Spirit Folio F1 comparison question (apologies for any redundancy)
I plan on recording with MOTU 1296/Digital Performer using keyboards, e-drums, guitars, and mic'd instruments and vocals (TLM103 with Avalon M5 preamp).
Concerns for mixer choice includes:
Which gives most flexibility (inputs, outputs, stereo, etc)
Better overall sound quality (quiet, headroom, etc)
Better construction (durability)
Better support/service
I don't have access to the Folio for comparison (this brings concern as to "support/service"). Does anyone have familiarity with these two mixers and which would be recommended?
P.S. I've heard great things about the Folio, mixed comments about the 1402. The salesman suggests the Mackie. ?????? Thanks again. Paul
