OK, here is the guide track:
A few notes:
Tele, I can hear what I think is your PC. Somehow I suspect I am responsible
I will have to recut the bass track (AGAIN!) because I had the clock source set wrong, and there is clicking throughout![]()
If you are trying to cut a lead vocal, and my guide is too annoying, the karaoke trick should work fine as it is dead center.
I took the liberty of suggesting a hard ending, because I hate fadeouts (there should be a law requiring an equal number of fadeins as fadeouts), and I always wanted to end a track with a sigh, like Dolores O'Riordan did on . . . uh . . . one of the tunes on No Need to ArgueThe guitar doesn't fit there yet because Tele was still playing and I cut him off
If that is universally hated, I'll add the coda back in.
Did anybody volunteer to mix? Or is it me? If it's me, email me links to your .wavs to music at naiant dot com.
OK people, pile on the tracks! Lots and lots of them! There are three breaks for solos, one short between the first two verses, and two longer. I can edit to make the solo breaks longer, but please have individual solos no longer than the space allotted (but sustain your last note over the vocal, so I can crossfade solos together). Then if there is a surplus, I will string 'em together until it sounds like Free Bird!![]()
I like hard endings to. as far as lead guitaring goes, is there anybody else in the picture yet or am I still the lone weedler????
I have an album (8 tracks) to mix & master for the 1st of december & then I can spare time. By that time (i hope) there will be drums & a good strong lead voice as well as having Tele's acoustic re-done to the bass & drums
If I know where the vocal is I can play the gaps........
