Travis - Thanks bro. I'll try. :)

Timothy Lawler - Thanks man. I never really thought I had any 'natural ability', I just do what I do because its fun.

chrisharris - Haha. Thanks. Me and the guys in my band are cut from the same cloth musically and as far as influences go. We just play what comes naturally. I guess we should seek pscyhiatric help. :p

That's one great cover tune. Good stuff. Playing guitar is fun, yep. :D

Great job on this. I'm not sure how close you were trying to get it but you've got a good blend of the original flavours with a bit of your own twist. The guitars are spot on, can't argue with twin LPs. Vocals are cool too. Nice belnd on the overall mix. You should have a go at your own stuff now you've got the engineering side of things sorted

Ha ha! I got to come in after you edited it. I loved it!!!

Nice job all around! :D

This is about as close as you can get to the original....congrats on a fabulous job Greg...

Greg, you rock. From Tom Petty to Metallica to the Ramones/Tom Waits to Lizzy - it's all good.

Nothing on this that I could criticize, and I grew up on Lizzy. You do it justice, and then some... nice job.

Greg, you not only choose incredible songs but you give them 110% when it comes to performance. All your recordings have been note-for-note accurate, your drumming and singing are both otstanding. I think your musical abilty has alot to contribute to your recordings, but you seem to have the whole thing absolutely nailed.

Thin Lizzy are one of my favourite bands. Their music is a national past time here, and youve done an amazing job on this one. I know it's been said before - and you've refuted it! - but man you gotta write some of your own stuff.

Thanks a lot man. I just choose songs that are fun or mean something to me in some way. I try to keep them true to the original versions as a sign of respect to the artists that make these great songs. For example, who the hell am I to jack around with a classic Thin Lizzy song? The way I see it, anyone can bang out any cover any way they want to do it. I personally try to re-create it as if they played it my own house with me signing. And on occasion, I'll add my own twist to a cover that I wouldn't normally do just to make it more fit my style. I have a wide range of influences and a ton of great music to cover! :p

As far as writing my own stuff, I'd like to, but I just can't seem to do it. I'm not inspired. I guess my life is too boring or something. I have nothing to get off my chest. Nothing to say. Everything I try to write ends up sounding like a Ramones or Johnny Thunders rip-off, only not nearly as good, so I don't even bother. I wish i could, but I just can't seem to do it. I guess my thing is just playing other peoples stuff. :o

Well said. That's the same thing a good classical musician does. Small world.

Thanks. That's really how I feel about doing covers. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions on how they want to do covers, but I personally cringe when I hear a good song butchered. Theres nothing I can do to "The Boys are Back in Town" to make it better than it already is, so I just try like hell to not screw it up. :o
