One of my all time fave tunes...The old lady has great taste in music.

This rocks, man. Your voice is right on, too.

But you brought it down a tone, you bastard!!!! I was trying to play along with it, and couldn't. :D :D :D

Haha. Thanks Rami. Yeah I dropped it a full step. My vocal range is about paper thin, so I need to be careful when I start figuring out how I'm gonna do certain covers. It's still just as easy to play though. You're good, you can figure it out. ;)

I'm lazy tonight (just ate a big dinner) so heres my guitar rig answer from page 1:

My guitar setup is pretty basic for all my recordings. For this tune I used my Epi SG through a Digitech RP300A processor into a cheapo no-name 75W combo and I stuck an AT2020 condenser in front of it that runs straight to the Firepod's built-in pre's. I used a Fender Hotrod 2x12 setting in the processor with lots of gain on the left guitar and a lot less on the right. Nothing fancy. I just dial it in to a sound I like and hit record.

Sorry I missed that from page one, I'm lazy. I promise, I did at least skim before I asked though :).

Funny, that's usually the way I go. Sometimes bites me when I re-track... I like the tone from the original tracks better but I'll be damned if I know what I did to get 'em.

Take notes. I always do, and its a life saver if you need to re-track something.
 
Greg L. what I love is you even got the off chords, cant remember exactly what they are anymore. You know, they are not maj, min,7th, some funky chord...perfect. Solid drumming and gtrs..marshalls? I'll bet it would sond even better if I was hearing it off the console! VERY freakin nice job. You should be proud.

Jmorris - Thanks man. Yeah I really tried to mimic the guitar riffs as accurately as possible. Thanks for noticing. :)

Bushmaster - Thanks a lot. I have done Rocket Ride before, but it was back when I first started recording. Great song, I should do it again. :)

If you have not got "thunder & lightning" grab it if you ever get the chance. It's only on import as far as I know. Cost me like thirty dollars fifteen years ago. It's different for sure. Real heavy for Lizzy.

Awesome. Thanks man. I think this one came out pretty good, so I was thinking of maybe trying to do "Jailbreak". If I do, you can have at the vocals. That would be cool. :)

Cool;) We used to do jailbreak years ago. I don't remember the words off the top of my head, but at least they are in there somewhere :rolleyes: I have the album so it's not a prob.
Let me know if you end up doing it.
