I think this whole thing kind of got out of control. There's two sides to every story there's my side, your side, and the truth. I'm not calling any here liar though.
Just to throw another example out....
I'm having problem with my cell phone. My cell phone company said that it would be covered under the warranty, and then they told me I'd have to pay for it out of pocket.
I'm increadibly upset about this.
But, up untill now I haven't had one problem with my cell phone or the service they provide. And I'm sure several people have had phones with this company for years and had absolutley no problems (my grandmother for example).
It all comes down to what they did when there was a problem. And in my opinion they didn't treat me right.
The Rock Doc is just blowing off some steam, and in my opinion he has the right to do that.
Mgood is just trying to protect his company's name, and in my opinion he has the right to do that as well.
The point is, everybody (including myself) isn't really getting the big picture. If we were all standing beside The Roc Doc listening to his phone coversation on the speaker phone or something, we would have a better idea of what's going on.
Just speaking for me. . . . . .
The Roc Doc - I hate that you had such a bad experience with Carvin. I can't stand being in situations like this. It always makes me need vent in anger. In my opinion you really didn't do anything wrong. And I honestly hope your guitar comes back to you perfect, and you get many years of good use out of it.
Carvin - I'm not sure exactly what happened, but; I haven't ruled out doing business with your company because of this. I have heard VERY similar stories about Gibson (especially their custom shop). I love every Gibson I own, and I don't plan on ruling out Gibson either.
APL - I'm glad you want to support Carvin. If anybody ever started putting down on of my favortie companies (especially some of the local guitar builders and amp shops around here) I would try to defend them as well. In my opinion you really didn't do anything wrong.
This is just my two cents.
