Perhaps your 'tough questions' were simply crap slinging and werent really quality questions being asked for quality answers or actual information......And if you really "tire of crap slinging" then dont participate in it.

Like Han says, there certainly is a lot of crap slinging over here.
As for everyone elses complaints about this place or that place, when I read your posts here and at those other places, I dont get a sense of anyone really attempting to have pertinent exchange of ideas or information involving the recording medium.All I see is bunch of guys who like to hang out on the internet and slam and make fun of anybody who really wants to learn something.When they come on this site as a newbie and they see someone with thousands of posts to their credit, they think they've hit a great place to exchange ideas and learn from someone experienced....yet for the most part, those thousands of posts wind up being a lot of personal attacks and a lot of slamming of what may be important questions to the questioner, but wind up being fodder for the 'hangers' whose only fun in life seems to come at the expense of others.
Its unfortunate that what could be a bed of basic knowledge as is suggested by the name..HomeRecording has become such a place. I personally do not feel that I am above this place or any other, but its a waste of time to come here to try and learn anything. And pity the fool who might ask a question thats been answered before or asks for any information about someones hated manufacturer or hated equipment shill.......

as with many people that I respect very highly, I share in there similar experience with RO. I think by understanding the history over there and why so many quality folks jumped ship over to gearslutz and other forums for very similar reasons, its obvious there's something going on.

To accurately define or recognise a condescending reply or attitude over the internet or on comments posted on a BB is at times simply an exercise in futility. Even though there are times when its very clear that someone is definately belittleing someone else for whatever reason, there are many many other times when it seems the reaction is the reacters responsibility and is brought on by a chip on the shoulder ,or perhaps an inability to read between the lines and as such becomes a failure to properly assess the true meaning of someones words or take on a subject. And the other side of the coin are those that simply live for such moments, and feel because its an impersonal medium anyway, that they can say or do whatever they want, and in the course of things, they get some kind of warped satisfaction in mucking up the works of what would perhaps be a fruitful interchange of thoughts and ideas between mature and responsible people. I seems to me that the elimination of this particular set of disfunction, is the goal of those at RO and other sites as well. Where the reaction to such trolls and their minions may seem a little quick-triggered and at times near sighted, it must be acknowledged that this reaction time has come about from the repeated intervention and interuption of said trolling by those who simply dont care about others peace of mind and want the noise floor whereever they go to increase to a cacaphony that doesnt allow for any decent folks to be able to use the site in question. If you(Babalou) have had such a poor time with being singled out as an instigator of such noisefloor at RO then I would ask you to examine your motives and perhaps review your abilities to make good conversation and pose pointed questions in a way that doesnt put you in the pose of being a troll or an interloper ready to cause trouble. Perhaps it is more your ability to affectively communicate moreso than a case of extremeism with the moderators and administration at a particular BB site. From what I have seen, there are some very qualified and very open folks that post over there and as far as an exodus from that particular site is concerned, yes ,quite a while back there was a change, but the fortunes of RO are better than ever, and without personal knowledge(which I'm very sure you dont have) of the reasons and politics of said changes, it doesnt do you any good to assume you know what the history of the change was and only serves to show how ignorant you are of something. As a resonable and intelligent person ,which I'm sure you are, its comments like this which takes away from a persons real credibility and casts a shadow across their opinions. And after all, we all are posting our opinions out here for all the world to see.It seems like a good idea not to look like a fool in doing so. If you were truly previed to the very activity and threatening pm's I received I'm sure you still wouldn’t have the fairness of mind nor objectiveness to see things any different. ..For that matter, why should you or why would it have an effect on my life either way? Ultimately (with all due respect) I have no interest in you or anybodies perception of any of us in an unrealistic world of faceless personalities who fulfill some kind of purpose safely from behind a computer screen. There’s a kind of sickness WE all partake in by attempting interpersonal social skills in such an unnatural and protected manner where one can be whomtever his/her ego and creativeness can dream up.

That is because this thread IS ABOUT deleting posts. I posted over there awhile ago. My threads WERE deleted AND I got PMed OVER HERE about it. UNREAL, RO is a bunch of whiny know-it-alls who are ass kissing each other to death. I made the BIG mistake about comparing a PMI product to a "Real" mic and got it from someone real good.

Just when this forum appeared to have reached a point of balance where people could co-exist in the near blissful world of microphones, DJL appeared...............since then the frequency of disagreements, conflicts and general crapfights has increased...............and unfortunately, DJL can usually be found at the source.
