Temporary Soundproofing...

as a temporary fix, do you guys think i should keep up the king size comforters or line the booth with berber carpet padding???
at my partners studio they have carpet padding all around the booth(1 layer) and it works perfect...i was thinking about 2 layers just to be sure... if not where can i order the real material kinda cheap? i can get 54''x54'' pieces for 19-30each
 
as has been said many times on this forum - carpet ONLY absorbs the highs. If you intend to use two layers hang one layer off the wall (3"- 4") and it will lower the frequency of absorption.

what do you mean hang one layer off the wall 3-4"?
the booth really shouldn't be picking up any low frequencies...its kinda ugly but if its gonna work for under $40..i'm gonna buy some...the 1-2" thick green padding
