Nice ideas there, z+1 Interesting and good guitar things. It could do with some variation, the guitar only chord progressions are too long and repetitve (still listening - they really do go on!). Hopefully somebody more experienced than I will come on and give you some tips on recording it - it's not quite there but my half assed thoughts won't help.

The vocals (sorry - forceful views coming out now - ignore if you wish). Look, you can sing, so start singing. You are not doing the song justice at the moment. You sound as if you're terrified of the microphone, and I suspect you've never had a singing lesson. If not, take a few, you'll hit notes more cleanly, project better, and most importantly sing with the confidence that will make people want to listen to you. (End of rant )

I TOTALLY agree with Garry. its not that you cant sing i think you need to sing more and get comfortable with your singing. if at all possible some voice lessons wouldnt hurt. get closer to the mic and add energy to what you are singing. i think its a nice song but you dont give it justice, even if its not edited and recorded using the best engineers and equipment if you sing it better that will take our attention off the quality at least. the guitar breaks are long i know you said you werent finished with the song yet so maybe you are going to add a chorus or whatever. but keep working on it, i has the potential to be a really nice song!

can you guys suggest a web site with any good vocal training excercises? see, i can sing fine sometimes, but at other times, if i feel tense or whatever, i just cant. i cant hit the right notes, i feel short of breath, my voice comes out just not sounding right, i can sing well, its just not consistent.
