ok ill try the jumbo frets ...... and yes i love to play lead ..... you should feel the frets on my les paul custom ..... no wonder they call it the fretless wonder ....... now that is a fast smooth neck .... the fastest i have ever played ..... kinda why i bought it

Yepper.... and that Les Paul Custom has another thing going for its playability... it has a 24 3/4" scale length, whereas the Tele has a 25 1/2" scale length. What that means is the Tele has a greater string tension to start with. The difference the two scale lengths make in playability is downright huge, if you ask me. So, the Tele has to overcome that in other ways. BUT, that's also why you can't get the bell-like tones with your Les Paul you get out of a Tele or Strat...That extra 3/4" is crucial!

Now.... go spend young man!! :D

I find bending is such a treat on my Tele. I havn't played a great deal of Les Pauls, but even compared to a Strat there's so much room to manouver on a Tele neck, especially when you go past the 12th fret.

Bought my Am. Tele 3 yrs. ago and wished I'd had it back when I played out as a hungry young man. I played a Ric 360 double-octave which suited my small hands, but even the tele, with all of its room, plays quick. Best of all worlds, especially with the 'lil 59.

PEACE

i just bought my first tele a couple of weeks ago, i got it for 380 flat brand new, arctic white MIM standard

i've played a lot of MIM standards, and i find with MIM fenders they are kind of hit or miss, in terms of how well they are put together, i found one that was put together very nicely, looked awesome, and is amazingly versatile for such a simple/price-friendly guitar

plus the MIM standard's are great for vintage part upgrades, where at the Am. Standards are not (meaning mostly the vintage bridge)

i'm very happy with a tele and don't know why i didnt get one earlier
